Brianne Cronrath Named Caraway Speedway “2006 Rookie of the Year” (January 4, 2007)

Driving her family-owned and un-sponsored number 16 late model stock car, Brianne Cronrath finished the 2006 racing season at the famed Caraway Speedway with a streak of top 5 finishes and claimed the prestigious “Rookie of the Year” award. In addition, Brianne finished 11th overall in the final point standings, missing a top 10 points finish by only 10 points.

Cronrath Continues Hot Streak at Caraway Speedway (October 1, 2006)

With 27 cars taking the green on this NWRS Championship night, Brianne started 10th but quickly fell backward in the field as the “railroaded the high line”. After falling as low as 18th in the field, Brianne meticulously made her way up to 4th in the next 90 laps. With 2 laps to go, Brianne was working hard on passing Brent Raymer but could not make a clean pass stick. Although she is credited on the final race rundown as improving from 10th to 4th, Brianne had her Townsend chassis number 16 hooked up and passed nearly 15 cars over the 100-lap event.

Cronrath Marks Career Best Finish (3rd) at Caraway Speedway (September 25, 2006)

Following a great qualifying run, Brianne pulled the number 3 pill and started inside row 2 for this 100 lap event. After dropping back a few positions at start, Brianne patiently worked her way back to 3rd by the end of the race. This 3rd place finish is Brianne's best late model stock car finish to date after racing two partial seasons in this division.

Checkers/Rally's Drive-Thru Sponsors Brianne Cronrath

Brianne Cronrath, a 21-year-old dean's list senior majoring in elementary education at Pennsylvania's Kutztown University, debuted the sponsorship in April 2006 at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway, driving the No. 63 Checkers Chevrolet Monte Carlo late model stock car for Spraker Racing. This year will be Cronrath's first full season in NASCAR's Drive for Diversity program. She joined the program in 2005 at mid-season, driving for Belnavis Racing.

When the sponsorship was announced, Cronrath said, “I am extremely excited about this season. Having Checkers as a sponsor is amazing. I absolutely love the Checkers/Rally's burgers so there couldn't be a better fit for me this year. I hope to bring Checkers and Spraker Racing Enterprises much success in the late model ranks.” Cronrath joined NASCAR Busch Series driver Carlos Contreras and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Bill Lester at the Checkers/Rally's NASCAR Night at Tropicana Field where she announced “Let's play ball!” to begin the game.
